How does it work?
GameOn Pad is a silicone pad with conductive plastic buttons. The silicone has been carefully selected to serve a dual purpose: its smooth back adheres securely to your phone, while also replicating the soft, tactile feel of traditional controller rubber membranes. When you press a button, it’s just like touching the screen—no lag, no electronics—while dramatically improving the gaming experience.
Is it compatible with my phone?
The dimensions have been optimized to fit the vast majority of devices. Pads are 68 mm wide, making them compatible even with smaller phones. Before first use, you simply need to adjust the button positions in your emulator or load the corresponding overlay/skin.
Does it work with screen protector?
Yes, it works perfectly with screen protectors.
How does it get stuck to the phone?
The pad sticks to your phone thanks to the natural properties of silicone. The material is soft enough for the ultra-smooth back surface to create strong adhesion—you can even turn the phone upside down without it falling off. If it ever loses grip, a quick wipe with a damp cloth restores its adhesion.
How much does it cost?
The price is still to be determined, but the goal is to launch it at around €15.
How do the buttons feel?
The buttons feel soft and responsive—slightly more cushioned than a traditional gamepad, but with a press force carefully tuned to match standard controllers.
And the analog?
The “analog” control works surprisingly well. Its design has remained unchanged since the first prototype—later attempts to improve it couldn’t match the feel and responsiveness of the original.
Why the weird D-pad?
The D-pad is not round by accident. Early prototypes used a cross-shaped design with four contact points, but the ergonomics and gameplay were mediocre—especially in games where diagonals matter, like fighting games. That’s why the current version uses a circular design with eight contact points, allowing precise diagonal input and significantly improving performance in demanding games.
Will it last?
The philosophy behind GameOn Pad is simple: a device that works across phone upgrades, doesn’t require buying a dedicated gaming device, and is built to last. After extensive testing, we are currently running stress tests on both the buttons and the analog stick—the component that raised the most questions. The goal is to deliver a product that can withstand up to one million cycles and still perform reliably.
Why is it important to join the waitlist?
Building a waitlist of potential GameOn Pad buyers is the best way to ensure a successful Kickstarter campaign. If the project gets strong traffic on day one, the platform will boost it—making it much easier to turn this exciting idea into reality.
Hope to be in touch soon!
